Any purchase can be returned for any reason within 30 days of delivery, in its original packaging with every accessory from the shipment. Defective or damaged items go back free; otherwise you pay the return shipping, or Aosom arranges collection and deducts a charge quoted when the pickup is booked — offered only for parcels up to 100 inches long, 150 inches in girth and 140 lb. Damage claims may need photos or video, and the delivery page warns that claims without the packaging “will not be honored”. Refunds are issued two to five business days after the item is back. No restocking fee is published; the page does not say whether the original delivery cost is refunded.

Only verified street addresses are served — no PO boxes. Carriers make two delivery attempts, after which the parcel waits at a depot for a few days and then returns to the warehouse.

It does not cover misuse, modification or accidents, and it will not pay for third-party assembly or labour — a damaged panel on a flat-pack sofa means a replacement part, not a fitter. Aosom’s own guidance page adds that weather damage and consumables such as batteries and cables are excluded. Claims go through customer service, usually with photos or video. The policy does not publish a target time for sending replacement parts and does not say who pays shipping on a warranty replacement, so ask before you agree to one.

Both are self-selected samples. The one-star reviews we read were about assembly — misaligned holes, missing parts — and faulty mechanisms, not about refunds failing.

Is Aosom Canada legitimate?
Yes. Aosom Canada Inc has traded from Ontario since 2011, publishes its addresses, and has been BBB-accredited since 2016 with an A rating. The risk is not a vanishing seller but a flat-pack item with a missing part, and a return you pay to ship.
What does a return actually cost me?
Nothing if it is defective or damaged and you claim with photos. Otherwise you pay the return shipping, or Aosom books a collection and deducts a quoted charge from the refund. It must go back in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery.
Will they deliver to my address?
To a street address anywhere in the provinces, free; no PO boxes. Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and listed remote postal codes pay a surcharge and can only order Aosom’s own brands. Ontario is quoted one to three business days, other provinces two to nine.
What happens if a part is missing or breaks after a few months?
Contact customer service with your order number and photos. In the first year the warranty covers manufacturing defects with replacement parts, not misuse, weather or accidents, and pays no fitter. Aosom does not publish how long parts take, so ask for an estimate.
