Who we write for

People who search “is it worth it” before they buy. There is no shortage of places to buy things; what is missing is someone who has read the small print, checked the public record and said plainly what protects you and what does not.

buybestproduct is an independent, editorially run site. We are not owned by any retailer, marketplace or brand we write about.

What the site covers

Merchant pages: for each shop or service we partner with, one page that sets out its delivery, returns, warranty, support and payment rules with the source and the date we read it, says which categories are worth buying there and which to skip, and — where the merchant publishes a product feed — shows a set of picks refreshed every night with the price the feed reported.

Brand investigations: a longer look at a merchant’s public record — policies, regulator findings and complaint data — with every line marked verified, not independently verified or not verified.

Most merchants we cover sell in the United States. Pages for merchants in Australia, Canada, France and Singapore say so at the top, with the currency they trade in.

What we have not done

We have not yet placed test orders or run hands-on product tests. Nothing on the site claims otherwise: the picks on merchant pages are selected by rules from the merchant’s own feed and carry no rating or verdict, and every policy line says whether it rests on the merchant’s published page, a third party, or nothing we could find. When we start testing, the record — dates, items, what arrived, what a return cost — will appear on the page.

How the site is funded

Affiliate commissions. Links to merchants are affiliate links through networks such as Impact and Rakuten Advertising; if you buy after clicking one, the merchant pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission rates never decide what we tell you to skip, and no merchant sees a page before it is published. We do not currently run sponsored placements or advertising; if that changes, they will be labelled as such and kept apart from editorial content.
