How affiliate links work on this site and what they change — and do not change — about our content.
Affiliate links
Links to merchants on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy, the merchant pays us a commission through an affiliate network; the price you pay is the same. We take part in programmes run through Impact and Rakuten Advertising, and may join others; each merchant page names the merchant its links go to. Affiliate links are marked for search engines (rel="sponsored") and every merchant page carries its own disclosure.
What happens when you click
An affiliate link passes through the network’s tracking domain before reaching the merchant. The network records the click and may set a cookie in your browser so that a later purchase can be attributed to us. We receive aggregate reports (clicks, sales, commission) and do not receive your name, address or payment details. The networks’ own privacy policies describe their processing.
What commissions do not change
Commission rates do not decide which merchants we cover, what we tell you to skip, or which items appear as picks — picks are selected by rules from the merchant’s feed with no payout signal. We would rather tell you not to buy something and earn nothing than the reverse. We do not currently take part in Amazon Associates.
Prices
Prices shown with picks are what the merchant’s feed reported at the time shown, in the merchant’s currency, and may have changed since. The merchant’s price at checkout applies, including any tax, shipping or import charge shown there.
