- Pricing
- Service fee on top of the airline’s price: up to $50 per passenger per ticket on most fares
Details
The fee page and the terms say “on most airfares a service fee of up to $50 is charged on a per-passenger, per-ticket basis”, children and infants included. Exceptions: up to $200 per passenger in business or first class; up to $100 for multi-city or open-jaw trips, Fusion Fares/Value Deals and unaccompanied-minor tickets; up to $55 for alternate-date or nearby-airport results; up to $50 per passenger on vacation packages. Hotels carry up to $42 (per booking on the fee page, per night per room in the terms — the pages disagree), car rentals up to $40. Phone bookings cost $15–$250 per economy passenger, up to $500 in premium cabins. Fares include taxes, surcharges and the fee; the checkout total binds.

- Returns
- Most tickets 100% non-refundable; phone-only cancellation costs $75–$250 per passenger plus airline penalties; refunds may take 60–90 days
Details
The terms call most airline tickets “100% non-refundable”, say most hotels, prepaid cars, packages and service fees are non-refundable after 24 hours, and require every cancellation by phone before the first flight departs. Where fare rules allow, the post-ticketing table charges per passenger: $75 (economy) or $100 (business/first) to cancel for a future credit, $150–$250 to cancel for a refund, up to $120 or 10% of the ticket value to exchange, and $50–$200 for “agent assisted waivers” — all “in addition to any airline and/or other supplier imposed fees”. A refund needs the airline’s waiver and “may take 60–90 days”; a future credit is valid for the same traveller on the same airline and costs another OneTravel fee to use.

- Price match
- 24-hour price match against four sites; 24-hour price-drop search paid in gift cards; quoted total stands once paid
Details
Price Match Promise: if within 24 hours of booking the identical itinerary (same airline, flights, dates, passengers, seat type) is cheaper on Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline or Travelocity, OneTravel refunds the difference or cancels for a full refund; group, military, student, package, opaque and error fares are excluded. Price Drop Assurance: OneTravel re-searches the exact itinerary for 24 hours and, on savings “typically $30 or more”, reissues the ticket, paying the saving in a gift card, provided you buy no airline seats or bags first and waive any refund right on the original ticket. Post Payment Price Guarantee: the quoted total stands once payment is accepted; if your card is declined and the fare changes, you may cancel at no cost.

- Payment
- Credit and debit cards with a verifiable US, Canadian or other billing address; nothing is guaranteed until ticketed
Details
The terms accept credit and debit cards “issued in US, Canada and several other countries” with a verifiable billing address; no wallet, PayPal or instalment option is named on the pages we read. Your card “may be billed in multiple charges totaling the final total price”, and the terms do not say whose name sits on each line, so reconcile the statement against the confirmation. An authorisation is requested at booking; “all bookings and fares are not guaranteed until ticketed”, and once ticketed at the quoted cost the terms call the ticket non-refundable and non-cancellable. Fares and fees are quoted in US dollars; the fee page says service fees “will be converted in your local currency on the payment page”.

- Support
- Phone 24/7 on 1-646-738-4832, otherwise a web form; BBB A+ with 406 complaints in three years; Trustpilot 4.2/5
Details
The home page offers “24/7 travel advisors” on 1-646-738-4832, which also sells “phone-only deals” at fees of up to $250 per passenger. The customer-support page adds a request form, self-help links and a billing line, +1-845-664-6185; it still carried 2021 airline alerts and shows no chat window, e-mail address or hours. On 9 September 2026 the BBB listed Fareportal Inc. (brands OneTravel, CheapOair, Travelong) as A+, accredited since 2015, with 406 complaints closed in three years, 142 in twelve months, and 3.81/5 from 1,024 reviews; a separate WK Travel, Inc. profile carried 7. Trustpilot showed 4.2/5 from 7,933 reviews, 69% five-star and 13% one-star, on a profile that invites reviews. Self-selected samples; complaints centre on add-on charges and slow refunds.

- Safety
- Fareportal paid New York $2.6 million in 2022 over false-urgency messages; OneTravel a $95,000 DOT penalty in 2014
Details
On 16 March 2022 the New York Attorney General announced a $2.6 million settlement with Fareportal, operator of CheapOair and OneTravel, over “Only 2 tickets left” messages tailored to the number of seats searched, invented hotel-occupancy percentages, random numbers presented as buyers of insurance or seat upgrades, countdown timers and comparison prices, and the disclosure of service fees and cancellation terms; the company agreed to use accurate data. On 2 January 2014 the US Department of Transportation fined WK Travel, Inc. d/b/a OneTravel $95,000, half suspended, for not disclosing code-share flights on telephone bookings. Our searches of DOT enforcement orders for 2022–2026 found nothing against Fareportal or WK Travel. Urgency banners on the site deserve no weight.

Questions
Can I cancel an OneTravel flight within 24 hours for free?
Not as a right: the DOT’s 24-hour rule binds airlines, not online travel agencies, per its refunds page. OneTravel’s fee page promises the booking fee back within 24 hours, but its post-ticketing table charges $75–$100 per passenger for agent-assisted cancellation within 24 hours. Ask first.
What does OneTravel charge on top of the airline?
Up to $50 per passenger per ticket on most fares, plus up to $42 on a hotel and $40 on a car, included in the total shown. After ticketing, every cancellation, refund, exchange or waiver adds $50–$250 per passenger to the airline’s penalty.
What if the airline cancels my flight?
The DOT refunds page says a merchant-of-record ticket agent must refund a flight to, from or within the US that the airline cancels or significantly changes, within seven business days for cards, if you reject the alternative. Ask OneTravel by phone and keep the reference.
Who am I actually buying from?
The footer names WK Travel, Inc.; the privacy policy names Fareportal Inc. of New York, which also runs CheapOair, as owner and operator. The airline’s fare rules govern changes and refunds; OneTravel is the agent that took payment and must be phoned to cancel.
