- Verified · Sep 8
- Returns
- Cancellation rules set per listing, default non-refundable; refunds to the original method, 7–14 business days quoted
Details
There is no single cancellation policy. Section 7.4 of the Terms makes payments non-refundable unless the Terms say otherwise; Section 7.7 refunds you “in the same way as you paid” if you cancel within the period shown on the listing when you ordered. On 8 September 2026 a Mt Fuji day tour allowed free cancellation up to three days before the date and none within two; a Busan city pass allowed free cancellation only of unused vouchers. Section 6.3 lets KKday charge an administration fee even on free-cancellation products, and refunds can shrink after exchange rates or card fees. Documented emergencies — a close relative’s death or illness, a natural disaster, a cancelled flight — can qualify outside the window.

- Payment
- Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and regional wallets; KKday charges no platform fee but your bank may
Details
The help centre lists credit and debit cards and “other mobile payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay, LINE Pay, Alipay, AlipayHK, GrabPay, MoMo Wallet, etc.”, with availability varying by region (article dated 15 January 2024). KKday says it charges no platform transaction fee, but your card issuer or wallet may add a foreign-transaction or conversion charge, and if you pay in a currency other than your card’s, the bank converts at its own rate. Section 7.5 of the Terms says a supplier-run product is accepted or rejected by the supplier, so a charge can be followed by a rejection and refund rather than a confirmation; listings marked “instant confirmation” avoid that wait. Payments are taken in full at booking.

- Pricing
- Prices in 17 currencies at a rate KKday sets and can change any time; the charge may differ
Details
You can view prices in 17 currencies, including US dollars, Japanese yen, Korean won, Hong Kong and Taiwan dollars, and “the conversion rate is determined by KKday”. Section 7.1 of the Terms says services are sold in a specified currency through the platform, and Section 7.2 reserves the right to change prices and fees at any time, so the figure at checkout is the one that binds. If your selected currency is not the one the supplier prices in, the amount your bank charges — and any refund — can differ from what you saw. “From” prices on listings are per package and date; the total appears only after you choose both.

- Support
- Chat and in-app phone; no hours or email on the page we read; Trustpilot 1.9/5, 243 reviews
Details
KKday’s contact article says to reach customer service through the online chat in the app or on the website, from My Orders or the “Contact support” button on a product page, and by phone “through the KKday app” (data charges may apply); it gives no service hours, time zone or email address, and the help-centre home page returned only navigation to us. Trustpilot showed 1.9/5 from 243 reviews on 8 September 2026 — 46% one-star, 38% five-star — a small, self-selected sample whose complaints centre on delayed refunds, wrong ticket types, no-show tours or transfers and slow replies; praise goes to individual guides. On the day, the supplier named on your voucher is usually the faster call.

- Safety
- Suppliers, not KKday, are responsible for delivering the service; the contracting entity depends on where you are
Details
Section 7.5 of the Terms states that where a service is provided by a supplier, that supplier accepts or rejects the booking and “is responsible for providing all related services”; Section 8.3 excludes KKday’s liability for direct, indirect and consequential damages arising from non-compliance with the Terms. The contracting party varies by region — Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, Hong Kong and Australian entities for those markets, and KKday Singapore Pte. Ltd. for Singapore and “other regions”, which covers US customers — and the governing law follows that entity. KKday itself is a Taipei company that closed a US$70 million Series D in late 2024. Normal for a booking platform, and it decides whom you pursue if a tour goes wrong.

Attraction tickets and passes
Worth it
- Timed-entry tickets, theme-park and city passes: “instant confirmation”, free cancellation of unused vouchers
- The Busan pass we read allowed exactly that, with no refund once activated
- The risk: a rejected voucher, which Trustpilot reviewers report for wrong ticket types
Skip
- Non-refundable tickets for a changeable date, and passes activated on a fixed day
- Tickets whose category (adult, senior, junior) is unmatched: a cheaper one can be refused
- Counter-exchange vouchers if your schedule cannot absorb a queue
Check first
- The listing’s cancellation block: “free cancellation” usually means unused vouchers only
- Direct-entry QR code, or exchange at a counter, and where
- The exact category and age band the venue will check against ID
Transfers, rail & eSIMs
Worth it
- Airport transfers and rail passes for routes you have already fixed
- Email-delivered eSIMs where KKday’s comparison pages list plans: a wrong purchase costs little
- Transfers should name the supplier and meeting point on the listing
Skip
- Same-day transfers without instant confirmation: Section 7.5 lets suppliers reject bookings after payment
- An eSIM for a phone you have not checked is unlocked and eSIM-capable
- Rail passes whose activation window misses your dates: most are non-refundable once issued
Check first
- Confirmation type: instant, or by the supplier within a stated period
- The supplier’s contact details on the voucher, for the day of travel
- For eSIMs, the phone-compatibility note and whether the plan is data-only
Day tours and experiences
Worth it
- Group day tours with a free-cancellation deadline days out (the Mt Fuji tour: three)
- Guaranteed-departure tours where the listing says so
- Compare “from” prices with the package you want: lunch, entry, transport often cost extra
Skip
- Tours whose cancellation window closes before you will know your plans
- Tours with no named supplier, or where reviews describe no-shows without a stated refund
- KKday is not the operator: a refund claim through the supplier’s terms, not compensation
Check first
- The cancellation deadline in days, and whether “unused” is a condition
- Package inclusions: meals, entry tickets, hotel pickup, language of guidance
- Meeting point and time (local time), and the supplier’s emergency contact
Questions
Can I cancel a KKday booking and get my money back?
Only within the listing’s cancellation period at booking; otherwise payments are non-refundable under the Terms. Free-cancellation products may still carry an administration fee (Section 6.3); refunds go to the original method, 7–14 business days per KKday’s blog. Documented emergencies can qualify outside the window.
Who am I actually buying from?
KKday Singapore Pte. Ltd., under Singapore law, for US customers and other regions without a local entity. A local supplier usually delivers the tour or ticket, accepts or rejects the booking and is responsible for it. The parent is a Taipei company founded in 2014.
Which currency will I be charged in?
You choose the display currency from 17 options; KKday sets the rate and adds no platform fee. Your card issuer or wallet may add a foreign-transaction fee or convert at its own rate; the statement can differ. Paying in your card’s currency avoids one conversion.
How do I reach KKday if something goes wrong?
Chat in the app or website, or phone via the app. The page we read gives no hours or email address. On the day, the supplier on your voucher is usually quicker; for refunds, open a case in the app and keep the reference.
