- Returns
- 90 days, unused and in original packaging, prepaid label; batteries and fluids final sale
Details
You can return a part within 90 days of purchase if it is unused, in its original condition with all components and in the original packaging. A-Premium provides a prepaid return label, does not reimburse postage you pay yourself, and states no restocking fee. Refunds go to the original payment method within 1–10 business days; if that fails, the company contacts you to arrange PayPal. Defective, incorrect or shipping-damaged items and parts that do not fit your vehicle go through the same “Return Order” button in Order History, with a replacement or refund processed in 1–3 business days. Batteries, fluids and clearance merchandise are final sale. The policy does not address installed-then-removed parts; unused is the test.

- Warranty
- Up to 3 years, set per category; parts only — no labour or consequential costs
Details
A-Premium gives a limited warranty of up to three years, with the period set per category on its warranty-duration table: three years for most mechanical and electrical parts (fuel pumps, control arms, hub bearings, oxygen sensors, window regulators, starters), two years for many others (alternators, brake pads and rotors, calipers, radiators, water pumps, CV axles), one year for a smaller group (headlights, mirrors, door handles, clutch kits, relays) and lifetime on code readers. Coverage is replacement of the defective part or, where applicable, a refund. It excludes labour, towing, vehicle repairs, rental, storage and other incidental or consequential costs, and damage from abuse, poor maintenance or modification. Claims go through customer service with the order details.

- Support
- 24/7 by phone, chat and email; BBB A+ and accredited; Trustpilot 4.2/5
Details
Customer service is advertised as 24/7 by live chat, a US-only phone line (1-888-374-5088) and email through the help centre; the help pages also explain how to find your VIN, OEM number and engine ID for fitment questions. Public record read on 8 September 2026: the BBB profile for Premium Parts Wholesale LTD (Irvine, CA, started 27 September 2012) shows an A+ rating, accredited since 11 July 2023; Trustpilot shows 4.2 out of 5 from about 1,200 reviews on a claimed profile. Negative reviews mostly describe parts that did not match the vehicle or failed early. These samples are self-selected — they show what goes wrong, not how often.

- Payment
- Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay; prices in USD
Details
The payment page lists credit and debit cards, PayPal as express checkout, Apple Pay on Apple devices and Google Pay on Android; no buy-now-pay-later provider is named. Card details are handled by the payment processor — A-Premium states it does not collect your card number. Prices are in US dollars; the pages we read do not state how sales tax is applied, so check the order total at checkout. Cancellation before shipment is free, and refunds return to the method you paid with, so a card or PayPal account you still control is the safer choice for a part you may need to send back.

Brakes, steering & suspension
Worth it
- Control arms, hub bearings, shocks, struts, tie rods and sway-bar links, VIN-checked
- Most carry the three-year warranty, while brake pads, rotors and calipers carry two
- Order axle pairs together when the vehicle needs both sides replaced
Skip
- Brake or steering parts with any fitment doubt: drum or disc, sub-model, build date
- Safety-critical, parts-only warranty, and a wrong part found after installation is not returnable
- Anything you cannot torque and bed-in to specification, or have fitted for you
Check first
- Your VIN in the fitment tool, and build-date, trim or drivetrain notes
- Single or pair: photos often show a pair for a single-part price
- Correct torque values and a road test, or professional fitting if unsure
Engine, fuel & cooling
Worth it
- Fuel pumps, water pumps, radiators, thermostats, ignition coils, starters and alternators with OEM cross-reference
- For vehicles whose original part is out of production or priced far above aftermarket
- Three-year cover on most, two years on alternators, radiators and water pumps
Skip
- Catalytic converters without checking state emissions rules: California and others require CARB approval
- Fluids, which are final sale
- Parts fitted before comparing with the old one: installed means not returnable as unused
Check first
- Engine code and displacement: one model year can use two engines
- Emissions parts’ legal status in your state (CARB EO number in California)
- The category’s warranty duration on the table: 1, 2 or 3 years
Sensors, electrical & lighting
Worth it
- Oxygen, camshaft, crankshaft and ABS sensors, window regulators, door-lock actuators, wiper motors
- Small exact-fit parts where item number, OEM number and connector photo confirm the match
- Sensors and regulators carry three years, and headlights, relays and switches one
Skip
- Headlights or lighting where DOT or SAE compliance is not stated on the listing
- Any electrical part for a vehicle whose trouble code you have not read
- Programmable modules and TPMS sensors may need dealer or tool programming after fitting
Check first
- Connector shape and pin count in the photo against your old part
- Programming or relearn needs (TPMS, some modules) and who will do it
- For lights, a stated DOT or SAE marking on road-registered vehicles
Body & interior
Worth it
- Door handles, mirrors, lift supports, hood latches, running boards, hitches and interior trim
- Low-stakes parts where the 90-day prepaid return covers a wrong colour or side
- Most carry one year of warranty: check the duration table for the exact part
Skip
- Painted or colour-matched parts listed by colour name rather than paint code
- Bumpers or running boards you may return: they must go in the original box
- Trailer hitches beyond the tow rating in your vehicle’s manual
Check first
- Left/right side and the vehicle’s paint code, both stated on the listing
- Whether mirrors and handles include your vehicle’s heating, signal or keyless functions
- Hitch tow and tongue ratings against your vehicle’s manual, not the hitch’s
Questions
Who is A-Premium?
The online brand of Premium Parts Wholesale LTD, Irvine, California, in business since September 2012. It sells own-brand aftermarket parts across roughly 180,000 SKUs by its own count; an expanded CarParts.com partnership announced March 2026 covers about 30,000 JC Whitney-branded parts. Not an original-equipment dealer.
What if the part does not fit?
Within 90 days, use Return Order in your Order History, choose “not compatible with your vehicle” and print the prepaid label; refund or replacement is processed in 1–3 business days once checked. The part must be unused and in original packaging, so compare before fitting.
What does the warranty actually pay for?
A replacement part or, where applicable, a refund; nothing else. Labour, towing, rental cars and consequential costs are excluded, as is damage from abuse, poor maintenance or modification. By category: three years for most parts, two for many, one for some, lifetime for code readers.
How do you choose the picks on this page?
A script reads A-Premium’s catalogue feed every night and selects in-stock items in each category priced roughly $15–300, recording the price it saw. Editors can pin, annotate or hide items. We never check fitment: confirm the match on A-Premium’s page with your VIN before ordering.
Do you earn from these links?
Yes. Links to A-Premium are affiliate links and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That does not change the fitment checks we tell you to make first, or which parts we tell you to skip.
